Step-by-Step Guide: Creating a Luma Event

0. Check Calendar

  • Before starting, verify you're creating the event in the correct Zo World calendar

  • Ensure there are no schedule conflicts with other Zo World events

  • Confirm the event date aligns with the broader Zo World marketing calendar

1. Initial Setup

  • Log into your Luma account at luma.xyz

  • Click on "Create Event" button in the top right corner

  • Select "Event" from the dropdown menu

2. Basic Event Information

  • Enter a catchy, descriptive event title

  • Set the date and time (including time zone)

  • Select event type: In-person, Virtual, or Hybrid

  • For in-person events, enter the venue address

3. Event Description

  • Follow the template format:

    • Start with a bold tagline

    • Add 2-3 sentences about the event vibe

    • Include "WHAT IT'S NOT" and "WHAT IT IS" sections

    • Keep description energetic and concise

4. Add Event Agenda

  • Create a clear timeline using the 🔹 emoji for each agenda item

  • Format times in bold (e.g., 6:00-7:00 PM)

  • Include specific activities for each time slot

5. Set Up Registration Options

  • For paid events, set appropriate price points

  • Consider early bird or VIP ticket options

  • Click on New Ticket Type to create a new ticket for your event.

For creating New Ticket,

  1. Give Ticket Name

  2. Select if the registrations needs your final approval to be marked as GOING

  3. Set limits for no: of attendance or ticket registration/sales deadline.

  4. Choose between free or paid ticketing

6. Add Custom Questions

  • Include standard Zo World questions:

    • "How did you hear about this event?"

    • "Are you interested in becoming a Zo World partner?"

    • Any event-specific questions (dietary preferences, etc.)

7. Configure Event Privacy

  • Choose between public, unlisted, or private event

  • If using application-based registration, set up screening questions

  • Configure waitlist settings if applicable

8. Upload Media

  • Add Zo branded cover image (1200 x 630px recommended)

  • Include additional event images if available

  • Consider adding a short promotional video if available

9. Partner/Sponsor Section

  • Add section header "Partners"

  • For each partner:

    • Include partner name in bold

    • Add 2-3 sentence description

    • Include website/social links

10. Publish and Promote

- Click "Publish" button
- Set up event links to track registration sources
- Share event link through Zo World's social channels

11. Post-Event Follow-up

- Send automatic thank you emails through Luma
- Share post-event photos and highlights
- Collect feedback through Luma's built-in survey tools
